This may not apply to you, but if you bought the retail version of the game the Steam version doesn't work with it. Scania-Tigerx DK. Maybe they will help you becouse many people here had problems with this DLC. I already sent a request to 2K support and tried seeking help on Gearbox's forum. And so I sent another request to Steam support. As of now 2K, Gearbox and Steam have still yet to offer me a solution to this problem. Looks like you just have to wait and hope for the best.

I have this same issue. If you are getting a disk write error, I don't see the game having anything to do with it as it is not running, it is being written to the disk by the file system. Have you tried error checking the drive?
It may well have downloaded the other games and saved it all to disk fine, but the errors may be where you are now trying to write to. I know what you mean by errors, possible corrupted clusters or whatever else related to disk errors, CHKDSK returned just fine, I could get deeper than that in checking disk errors but I don't think that is necessary, I just installed much more stuff after my Borderlands 2 instal failures and they just worked out like a charm, same as big transfers of files, yeah small hard drives, constantly moving stuff around The thing I find odd, is that Steam is downloading and writing the files to disk not the game.
Is this as it downloads, or on first run after download?
